Those of you who keep up with the Sailormoon series and actually pay attention to it know that there is all kinds of mythology wrapped around it. Lethe and Mnemosyne are also apart of the mythology craze.

Lethe is the name of a river found in Tartarus, the underworld, in Greek mythology. This river is also known as the River of Forgetfulness. It gets it's name from the nymph Lethe, who was the daughter of Eris. This is the river that the spirits of the dead would drink from when entering the place of eternal banishment. When they drank from the river, they would forget everything of thier past life.

Mnemosyne was one of the thirteen Titans. In the Greek mythology, Zues had an affair with the Mnemosyne. As a result, Mnemosyne gave birth to the nine Muses. These Muses represented different aspects poetic arts.
